FINALLY my chair is done. After so many painstaking days stretched across weeks. Was supposed to do the photoshoot for the promotion on monday with darren but both of us werent done. Cause see, on sunday, i already rushed to another aunt's house in tampines to go sew the edges of the black strips of cloth cause my aunt's sewing machine spoiled halfway through. Then later when we wanted to stick them onto the chair with this iron-on tape thingie, it wouldnt stick at all. Then stitching would be rather messy and so would glue. So on monday i went to artfriend to go get black or grey fabric paint but they didnt have it and neither did the bras basah branch. But luckily the facing craft store had grey, 3 bottles on the shelf and i took 'em all. But when i got home, i realised that the fabric sucked it up a lot and i thought i didnt have enough paint. But i did. Took me the whole night to paint everything tho. Till 6 in the morning, Lush playing on my hp radio.

Then tuesday sewed up the back and brought it to school on wed. Thank god my dad's car is an suv otherwise it wouldnt have been able to fit.

So anyways, after adFund, darren and i wanted to do the shoot at the studio but alas, it was occupied so we lugged our chairs to the outdoor amphitheatre(my idea) tho sy helped carry mine there... even though i'm perfectly capable.

It was soo freakin hot(it was about 1+ p.m.) and we were sweating like our pores were mini waterfalls and worse, i was wearing a long sleeved black jacket. We tried to get it over with quickly but i think we were there for about an hour. The shots turned out pretty alrright but editing was a bitch. Cause the photos were predominantly while or light grey and when i changed the levels(in photoshop) to make the floor more detailed and the wall have darker greys, i would black out totally. for instance...



Its a rather cool effect... like a shadow or something but i cant have them all like that, cause like my idea is to make that sort of comp cards(has photos and stats) that models give to potential clients. Then i tried making them more arty but it was way too irritating what with all the tedious selections and stuff. Plus, the chair is supposed to be like chic and modern so it wouldnt really fit the grunge look. So i just went with the flow, barely making changes... just slight tweaking. I'll probably make the actual card sometime next week but here are some of the better photos shot.
